Sewer Inventory

The Sewer Inventory modules are designed to track physical sewer assets and link these assets to other assets, inspections, tests, work orders, etc. Two exceptions are the Service Permits and Service Permits Setup modules, which are supplements to the Service Lateral module.

Below is a basic overview of the relationship between sewer assets:

• Each pipe is defined by two end-points: upstream (US) and downstream (DS). These end-points can be structures, valves, nodes, or pump stations.
• One or more pipes can be related to basins. Such pipes are considered basin outlets.
• Service laterals can related to either a pipe or a structure.
• Service connections can be related to a service lateral, as well as either a pipe or a structure.
• Multiple pumps can be attached to a single pump station.

Note: The numbers and * in the diagram represent the number of records that can be part of the indicated relationship. For example, one (1) Service Connection record can be related to only one (1) Service Lateral record. But many (*) Service Connection records can be related to one (1) Sewer pipe.
