General Tab

The General tab is used to track and record inspection data in compliance with MACP (Manhole Assessment Certification Program) standards. Fields store general information, such as the name of the individual conducting the survey, the owner of the collection system that was surveyed, and the entity commissioning the survey. Other fields have unique functions, which are described in the table below:

Function

Certificate Number

The NASSCO PACP # of the surveyor who performed the MACP inspection.

Sheet Number

A number used to identify individual surveys conducted within a group.

Rim to Invert

The distance from the rim to the invert of the upstream manhole (in ft and tenths of ft or in meters to a max of 2 decimal places).

Grade to Invert

The distance from the average grade of the structure to the invert of the outgoing pipe (in ft and tenths of ft or in meters to a max of 2 decimal places).

Rim to Grade

The distance from the rim to the average grade of the outgoing invert (in ft and tenths of ft or in meters to a max of 2 decimal places).

Media Label

A unique Identifier for the tape/media used to capture observations.

Pre-Cleaning

The type of preparatory cleaning conducted prior to the survey.

Weather

A description of the climate conditions at the time of the survey.

Location

A general description of the ground cover of the surveyed segment.

Potential for Runoff

The type of restriction of flow used.

Northing

Y Coordinate - Latitude at the center point of manhole cover. If a value exists, the user should also complete the Easting and Coordinate System fields.

Easting

X Coordinate - The longitude at the center point of manhole cover. If a value exists, the user should also complete the Northing and Coordinate System fields.

Elevation

Z Coordinate - The height at the center point of the manhole cover.

Coordinate System

The datum or reference system used for the GPS coordinates. If a value exists, the user should also complete the Northing and Easting fields.

GPS Accuracy

The degree of accuracy obtained from the coordinates.
