Asset Distribution

The Asset Distribution tab contains two grids, Project Asset Distribution and Project Assets, which are described below:

Project Asset Distribution grid

The Project Asset Distribution grid tracks how project costs are distributed among asset categories. It can be used to track the total asset cost, number of asset units, asset life, and salvage value. These data may be used to establish project deterioration rates. The record that is selected in this grid controls which records are displayed in the Project Assets grid.

A sample of the grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings.  An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) indicates whether data appear in ascending or descending order.

How To Add a Project Asset Distribution Record

Project Assets grid

The Project Assets grid enables users to associate individual Inventory assets with the construction project. This information can be used to track the cost of each individual asset as well as its asset life and deterioration schedule.

A sample of the grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings.  An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) indicates whether data appear in ascending or descending order.
