Apply Batch Template

The Apply Batch Template tool allows users to apply Dashboard Templates to multiple users at a single time.

On the Dashboard/Preferences dialog, click the Apply Batch Template button. The following dialog will appear:
Templates can be applied to New or Existing Users.
- Select the Existing Users radio button to display a list of all users with currently defined Dashboards. Applying templates to these users will overwrite their current Dashboard/Preferences.
- Select the New Users radio button to display a list of all users who do not currently have a Dashboard defined.
Select an individual User from the left-hand list. Then, use the right arrow button to add that user to the "Users for Template" center grid. Repeat this process for additional users as needed. Use the left arrow button to remove a user from the "Users for Template" grid.
Highlight a Template in the right-hand list. Click the Preview Template button to display the Template settings.
Click Apply Template. The following message will appear warning you that the selected Template will overwrite the current Dashboard settings for all selected users. Click Yes.

On the Dashboard/Preferences dialog, click the Apply Batch Template button. The following dialog will appear:
Select the Existing Users radio button to display a list of all users with currently defined Dashboards.
- The Reapply Template button will only work for users that already have a dashboard setup and a template applied.
- Applying templates to these users will overwrite their current Dashboard/Preferences.
Select users in the Users grid. Then, use the right arrow button to add that user to the "Users for Template" center grid.
- This can be one user, or all the users that the template was applied to previously, or everybody.
Highlight a Template in the right-hand list.
Click Reapply Template. This function will only apply the template to users in the Users for Template grid that had that same template applied previously. So if all users are selected and added to the Users For Template grid, only those that previously had that same template applied will have it reapplied.
The following message will appear:
Click OK.

Users Grid	Select users in this grid that the template should be applied to. The users that show up in this grid are based on the radio buttons located below the grid. Records in this grid can be sorted by the User, Group, and Template Applied columns.
Lookup Button	This button provides a way to look up specific users.
Existing/New Users	These radio buttons control the Users grid. The grid shows users that already have a dashboard setup when Existing Users is selected. When New Users is selected the grid shows users that don't have a dashboard setup.
	These buttons add/remove users to the Users for Template grid based on what is selected and which button is used.
Users for Template Grid	This grid displays the users that the template will be applied to.
Template Grid	This is a list of all the templates that have been created.
Apply Template	Applies the selected template to the users currently in the Users for Template grid.
Reapply Template	Applies the selected template to the users currently in the Users for Template grid if they have had the template previously applied. This is useful when changes have been made to a template and then need to be re-applied to the users that they were applied to before without having to figure out which who they all were.
Preview Template	Displays a preview of the selected template's dashboard.
Close	Closes this tool.
