The General tab allows users to enter basic information about a piece of equipment. These fields include the equipment's manufacturer, the operator of the equipment, the department that uses the equipment, and the year the equipment was manufactured. Users can also indicate whether an item is a low- or high-priority piece of equipment. Finally there are several fields to link it to other assets.
The following fields have special functions:

This function allows the piece of equipment to be used as a resource on a work order instead of as an asset. (A work order asset is the asset that is being worked on. A work order resource is an object being used to complete the work order.) Enter the Equipment ID for the Work Flow Setup > Equipment record to associate it with this record.
