The first tab in this module contains basic flushing information. You can record who performed the water flushing, the date it occurred, as well as any additional flushing dates. You can also calculate the flushing time, rate, and volume. Several fields in this tab are populated by the system when the Route Record # is selected. These include the Zone, Reach, Type, Reason, and Node fields from the corresponding Water Flushing Route record. Some of the fields in this tab have special functions. These are described in the table below:

Time Flushed |
This field is automatically calculated by the system based on the Start and End Times. Or, you can manually enter the time flushed. |
Discharge Volume |
This field is automatically calculated by the system based on the Time Flushed and Discharge Rate. |
Total Volume |
This read-only field is calculated by the system. It equals the sum of the Discharge Volume above plus any additional Discharge Volumes from the Additional Flushing Dates grid. |
Zone |
This field indicates the pressure zone in which the route is located. This zone has an effect on the valves, hydrants, and pipes available for selection in the Valves/Hydrants/Pipes tab. There, the system will look for a matching pressure zone in the corresponding valve, hydrant, and pipe inventory records. Only inventory records located in the same pressure zone will be available for selection. |
Last Date Flushed |
This read-only field is populated by the system. It reflects the most recent flushing date, whether from the Date Flushed field on this tab or, if a more recent record has been added, the Date Flushed field from the Additional Flushing Dates grid. |
Node Number |
This field tracks the relationship between this route and a particular node by selecting a previously defined Node Number. Press F9 to access the pick list. |
