Material Cat Tab

The Material Cat tab stores a list of a Work Categories that the part's related Work Flow Setup > Materials record is associated to. This list is shared with the Categories tab for the related material. Therefore changes in this grid affect both the part and the material.

Note: This tab is not active unless the Material Code is filled out on the Order Info tab.

A sample of the grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings.  An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) will appear signifying ascending or descending order.

• Double-click on an existing record to open it.
• Right-click in the grid to add a record.
• Right-click on an existing record to get a menu with options to View Record, Add Record, Edit Record, or Delete Record.

How To Add a Category

1. Right-click in the grid and select Add Record. The following pop-up will appear:

3. Select a Category. Click on the field name or press F9 within the field for a list of work categories.
4. Save and close the record.
5. The work category will be associated to the Part and the Material.
