SQL Server clients must use the following datasource provider:
Select the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server from the list:
Enter the connection information to log onto the data source.
If you go to Database>>Set Datasource Location, you can check to be sure that you selected the datasource provider properly by expanding the database tree and looking at the properties. You should see something like this:
