Using the Toolbar Buttons
The gbaMS Web toolbar contains buttons that access or perform a variety of standard program functions. Many of these functions are similar to those found in your GBA Master Series desktop application. Place your mouse over each icon to see the name/function of that particular toolbar button. The following list contains a brief description of each toolbar button. Click on the links provided for additional information.

Add
|
Allows you to add a new record. Launches a new window with the Detail Form corresponding to the highlighted record type on the web page.

Reports
|
Opens the Reports dialog. These include your organization's custom reports as well as the standard gbaMS reports.

Locate
|
Allows you to quickly locate specific records. The drop-down icon beside the Locate button allows you to sort records in ascending or descending order, or remove the sort order.
Note: This icon appears at the top of each column and is only present if there is more than one page of records.

Filter
|
Allows you to narrow your search for a specific record or set of records.
|

|
Show in Map
|
This tool can open either a web map or your ArcMap project. It will then zoom in and selects all assets, X/Y coordinates, and/or addresses found in the selected Work Order, Request, or child dialog.

|
Create Work Order
|
Allows you to generate a work order for the highlighted Request or inventory record. You may be required to select a Default WO Category if more than one applicable category exists.
Note: When you create a new work order the system will open the corresponding default work order form in a new tab if one exists. If a default form does not exist, the work order will still be created in the database but will not appear on screen. Instead, a notation will appear above the grid indicating that the operation succeeded.

Create Request
|
Allows you to generate a work request for the highlighted inventory record.
Note: When you create a new request the system will open the corresponding default request form in a new tab if one exists. If a default form does not exist, the request will still be created in the database but will not appear on screen. Instead, a notation will appear above the grid indicating that the operation succeeded.

Toolkit
|
Opens the Toolkit dialog. Toolkit functions vary by form.

Delete
|
Deletes all selected rows.
|

Navigation Arrows
|
These arrows allow you to navigate through the record set.
|

|
Launch gbaMS Desktop
|
This tool will open the selected record(s) in the desktop version of gbaMS.
|

|
View in New Tab
|
This tool allows you to view the selected record(s) in a new tab. The appropriate general form will be displayed with all related detail forms and grids.
|

|
Save
|
This tool is found in the detail forms. It allows you to save all changes and continue adding or editing records, keeping the detail window open.
|

|
Save and Close
|
This tool is found in the detail forms. It allows you to save all changes and close the detail window.
|

|
Refresh
|
This tool is found in the detail forms. It allows you to abandon all changes and refresh the display.

Cancel
|
This tool is found in the detail forms. It allows you to abandon all changes and close the detail window.

Note: The buttons that appear on screen are based on each user's security permissions. In other words, if you don't have rights to Add or Delete Work Orders, those buttons will not appear. Permissions are based on your login ID. Consult your system administrator for additional information.
