Custom and Comments

Custom and Comments tabs appear throughout the Lucity system.  

Custom

This tab allows users to add custom information in multiple user-defined fields.  The field types are described below:

• Code-type - User-defined, pick list fields.
• Alphanumeric - Allows users to enter letters or numbers in any combination.
• Check-box - Used to indicate yes/no or on/off.
• Numerical - Accepts numeric digits only.
• Date - Provides a popup calendar allowing you to select a date.

The Custom tab also tracks the last date the record was modified as well as the user login id of the last user to modify the record.

Note:  The Custom tab fields are designed by each agency's system administrator.  They are completely open from the beginning and have no default information to track.

The Custom tab in some modules tracks additional information. This may include the following:

• Short Comment - This is a text field that allows additional comments to be stored.
• Work Order, WO, or Work Comment - This is a text field that allows information to be carried over to a work order for this specific asset.  
• Sub-Type Text - This field is automatically filled if Sub-Types are defined in the GIS system.

  Note:  Users can only edit this field in the GIS geodatabase environment.  If the system is not integrated with GIS, this field will not be available.

• Some Custom tabs track X and Y coordinate information.

Comments

This tab (or grid) contains a large text field where users can enter additional notes.  While in Add or Edit mode, click in the grid and begin typing.  This field has copy/paste abilities, carriage returns <Ctrl + Enter>, and a spell checker that when turned on will underline misspelled words as they are typed.

Bus Stop Inventory

The Right-of-Way module provides you with multiple inventory modules to track your assets.  The Bus Stop Inventory module allows you to record the location of each bus stop, its physical attributes, inspections, and other information.

Note: Users can view any field definition by right clicking + Ctrl in that field.

To access the Bus Stop Inventory module, select Transportation > Right-of-Way > Bus Stop > Bus Stop Inventory and the following window will appear.
