Special Function: Supervisors Managing Certifications

Lucity can be configured so that only an employee's supervisor can manage the employee's certifications. To enable this restriction, complete the Employee and System setup below:

Certification management setup

Employees

To restrict Employee Certification management to supervisors, you must complete the Supervisor/Employee Hierarchy in Employee Setup.

• Each supervisor's Work Employee Setup record must have the Supervisor checkbox checked and the Login ID filled out with their Lucity login information.
• Each Work Employee Setup record must have the Supervisor field filled out with the employee's supervisor.

System

• Enable the Supervisor Manages Certifications work option.

How this works

To update the Employee Certification Status, the employee's supervisor must make changes to the employee's record:

• Open the Certifications > Employees grid;
• Add/edit/delete the employee record.

  Note: No other user will be able to modify that employee's record.
