Equipment Classification Setup

The Equipment Classification Setup module enables agencies to create classifications of equipment. You can then associate specific equipment with one or more equipment classifications. These records are used for a variety of purposes within the Work program:

To access the Equipment Classification Setup module, select Work > Administration > Work Flow Setup > Equipment Classification Setup.

Open the Work > Administration > Work Flow Setup > Equipment Classification module.
Click Add . The Equipment Classification form opens.
Enter the Classification (code) and Classification Text (both required).
Choose a Unit of Measure.
Enter the Hourly Rate for this Classification.
Click Save . The new Classification record now appears in the grid.

Open the Work Flow Setup > Equipment Classification Setup module.
Click the to expand the Equipment Classification Setup record to which you want to add a piece of Equipment.
Select the Equipment grid and click Add . The Equipment form opens.
Select an Equipment from the picklist.
Select the related Department, Division, Sub-Division, Area and Sub-Area if desired.
Enter the % FTE in decimal form to indicate the equipment's availability percentage of full-time.
Select All Year Availability; or enter a Start Date and End Date for a seasonal or periodically available equipment.
Enter the Percent Availability per Month fields; or select Evenly Distributed.
Click Save . The selected equipment now appears in the Equipment Classification Setup's Equipment grid.
