How the CRE Integration Works

Users can run both Lucity-provided reports and custom reports using Crystal Reports for Enterprise (CRE). Use the following steps to configure existing reports to run via CRE.

How the CRE Integration Works

The How reports are selected to run in Enterprise setting, found in Lucity under System Settings, controls how the integration works:

• Auto - When this option is enabled, all Crystal Reports run via CRE. The integration automatically takes the Report Name in Lucity and looks for a matching report in CRE.
• Manual - When this option is enabled, only select Crystal Reports are run via CRE. The integration checks to see whether the Run this report from Crystal Enterprise option is enabled in the report record. If it is, the system uses the report's CUID to determine whether a matching report exists in CRE.

  Note: If an agency uses the guest account to run reports, the integration will always attempt to look up the report based on its name.
