Employees

To streamline the process of creating Work Orders or PMs, agencies can associate Employees who commonly perform a type of work with related Task Setup records. Then, when a user adds that Task to a Work Order or PM/Template as a Sub Task, the Employees are added to the Work Order or PM, as well.

 

Employees Grid

A Task Setup record's Employees grid lists personnel resources associated with the Task by default.

Task Setup > Employee Record Fields

Resource

Identifies a person by employee ID and name. Records in this pick-list come from the Work > Administration > Work Flow Setup > Employee Setup module.

Account #

Specifies the account number associated with the employee's work on this task.

Proj No - Acct

Specifies the project number associated with the employee's work on this task.

Group No

Collects resources together within the task.

  • Often used to group an employee with a specific piece of equipment or with materials that he or she is authorized to use but may be used to group other resources.

Unit of Measure

Specifies the unit of measure that applies to the employee's work on this task.

Norm

Sets the expected number of hours the employee will spend on the task. The Time Cost field indicates what kind of time this field represents.

  • This is used in the Work Order > Task > Employee > Units field.

Time Cost

Indicates how the employee's cost for time entered into the Norm field should be calculated; for example, as regular or overtime.

Regular

Sets the expected number of regular work hours the employee will spend on the task.

OT

Sets the expected number of over time work hours the employee will spend on the task.

Estimated

Sets the overall total expected time the employee will spend on the task.
