Users can create multiple Notifications for each module using each format; however, certain notification types (such as the Customer Thank You) can be sent only via email. Users can also automatically insert Lucity data into the subject line or body of email notifications.
Notification Considerations
Before creating a notification template in the System Configuration > Notifications module, consider:
Which module will this Notification apply to? This will determine what type of notification to use. The Water, Sewer, Fleet, Overdue, and Customer modules only support Email Notifications.
If this is a Work notification, what type of notification is needed? Lucity offers three types of Notifications: Email(or Text), Report-to-Printer, and Report-to-Default-Printer. These four types are the only ones designed to automatically send notifications based on a template.
