URL

URL Plugins display a link to a web address on the Dashboard. This feature can be used to add a link to the Dashboard or to embed another website into the Frame.

Note: A URL plugin is how you can add SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS) reports.

A link to http://blog.lucity.com is embedded in the Lucity Help Portal. Click the Lucity Blog text to open that website.

The system supports different types of URLS. These are set in the Supported Link schemes system setting.

Note: Not all URLs will work on all platforms as some urls are specific to a given platform (ex. facetime://)

Open the Dashboard and the Dashboard Tab that you would like to edit.
Click Enter Design Mode .
Locate the Frame to which you would like to add a Plugin.
Click the Add Plugin button at the bottom of the Frame. The following pop-up appears:
Select Create a New Plugin. The tool expands to display Plugin options.
Select the URL option.
Click Create Plugin. A new URL Plugin is added to the Frame and the URL edit menu appears on the right.
Type in the Display Text. This is the word or phrase that will appear on the Dashboard.
Enter the URL Address to which the text should link.
Check the Render URL as Web Page box to embed the entire webpage into the Dashboard.
- If desired, use the Height field to enter the maximum number of pixels the plugin should expand vertically when displayin the web page.
Click Save.

Display Text	The text that will appear as the hyperlink to the specified website.
URL Address	The web address for the web content to link to or display. Supports http, https, mailto.
Render URL as Web Page	Directs the system to embed the actual web content in the Dashboard.
Height	Controls how much vertical space the plugin will stretch when displaying a webpage. Only available when the Render URL as Web Page option is enabled.
Save	Saves all changes and closes the window.
Cancel	Cancels all changes and closes the window.
