Authentication

Lucity Mobile supports two methods for logging into the application:

Lucity/CS EAM authentication

Lucity/CS EAM authentication is based on login and password that are set and stored within the software itself. All Lucity/CS EAM applications support this authentication method. Lucity/CS EAM has built-in password security features to maintain the integrity of your system.

SAML authentication

Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) authentication uses a third-party identity provider to authenticate the user. This option is useful for agencies that cannot use Microsoft Windows authentication.

When you log into Lucity/CS EAM using this method, you are directed to a third-party website. Once you provide credentials there, you are redirected back to Lucity/CS EAM and automatically logged into the application.

CS EAM Mobile supports Lucity/CS EAM and SAML authentication, as well as ArcGIS authentication:

ArcGIS authentication

ArcGIS authentication eliminates the need to separately log into the Lucity/CS EAM system and your agency's map services.

When you log into Lucity/CS EAM using this method, you are directed to the ArcGIS website. Once you provide credentials there, you are redirected back to Lucity/CS EAM and automatically logged into the application.
