Network access
Lucity/CS EAM Mobile and Lucity Mobile Warehouse must be accessible to mobile devices by either installing it on a DMZ server or on an internal server accessible by VPN. However, the system is set up, the Lucity/CS EAM Mobile Server must be able to access the following resources on the network:
Note for clients running Lucity/CS EAM 19r2 or higher: Report Server architecture is now only accessed by Lucity/CS EAM Mobile Server, Lucity/CS EAM Services or Lucity/CS EAM Web. Users' individual browsers no longer need to be able to talk directly to the Lucity/CS EAM Report Server.
DMZ network
If the Lucity/CS EAM Mobile server is installed on a DMZ outside the firewall, it may have difficulty talking to network resources or even recognizing resources residing on the same server. This issue can often be resolved by updating the hosts file on the server on which Lucity/CS EAM Mobile Server is installed. You may need to make entries for the necessary network servers.
GIS network access
The Lucity/CS EAM Mobile Server and the device running Lucity Mobile must be able to independently access any GIS services used in the Lucity Mobile Map.
Offline access
The server on which the Lucity Services are installed must be able to make an HTTP request to the Lucity Mobile Server in order to give users access to data offline. The Lucity Mobile Server does NOT need to be able to make requests back to the Services. This configuration enables the Lucity Services to tell the Lucity Mobile Server to create the offline caches.
