Bookmarks

The Bookmarks tool enables users to save map extents and reload them later.

Note:  The bookmarks are shared with the ArcGIS Pro > Bookmarks tool.

Add Bookmark

Adds a new bookmark into the system.

Lock and key icon Requires the GIS > Lucity GIS > GIS-Bookmarks - Add permission.

 

Show my bookmarks only

Causes the bookmarks list to only show bookmarks created by the currently logged in user.

Edit Bookmarks

Enables the user to edit the location and attributes of the bookmark.

Lock and key icon Requires the GIS > Lucity GIS > GIS-Bookmarks - Edit/Delete or GIS-Bookmarks - Edit/Delete my own permission.

Delete Bookmark

Deletes the bookmark.

Lock and key icon Requires the GIS > Lucity GIS > GIS-Bookmarks - Edit/Delete or GIS-Bookmarks - Edit/Delete my own permission.

Bookmark Attributes

 Description

Name

Identifies a name for the bookmark.

Description

Specifies further information about the bookmark's purpose.

Created By

Indicates the Lucity user who created the bookmark.

Extent

Specifies the extent that the bookmark displays.

Use Current Map Extent

Updates the bookmark's extent to the current extent.
  • In the Webmap, zoom to the location that you would like to save.

  • Select blue bookmark iconand Select Document with plus symbol icon to add the current map extent as a bookmark.

  • Enter a Name and Description for the bookmark.
  • Select Save.
  • Select blue bookmark icon.
  • Find the bookmark in the list. Check the Show my bookmarks only checkbox to hide other users' bookmarks.
  • Select a bookmark name in the list. The map will zoom to the bookmark location.
  • If you want to change the location of the bookmark, zoom to the new location.
  • Select blue bookmark icon.

  • Select brown edit bookmarks icon next to the bookmark you want to edit. The bookmark attribute dialog will open:

  • Edit the Name and Description as desired.
  • If you are changing the location of the bookmark click the Use current map extent box.
  • Select Save.
