Water Pipes Header Data

At the top of the module window you will see header data. This data remains at the top of your screen as you use the tabs to navigate through the record. The header fields are described in the table below:

Field Name

Definition

Pipe Rec #

This field contains a number automatically generated by the system.

Pipe Number

This field allows you to enter a unique, alphanumeric identifier for the pipe.

# of Services

This numeric field allows you to identify the number of services for this pipe.

Note: To calculate this value, execute the Toolkit function.

From End Type

To End Type

These code-description fields allow you to select the pipe's From End and To End types. These are the features that define the ends of the pipe segment (i.e. system valve, node, hydrant). To access the pick lists, click on the field caption buttons or press F9.

From End

To End

These pick list fields allow you to select the From End and To End IDs for the pipe. The pick lists in these fields will correspond to the From and To End types chosen above (i.e. if you have chosen 'node' as your From End type, the From End pick list will contain only Node IDs). To access the pick lists, click on the field caption buttons or press F9.

Status

This user-defined, code-description field allows you to indicate the pipe's status (i.e. in use, abandoned in field, etc.).

Note: The Pipe Number is required in order to save the record.
