Create a Collision Diagram

To create a collision diagram, complete the steps below:

1. Click on the Toolkit button in the module toolbar.  The following window will appear:

   

2. Select Intersection Collision Diagram or Midblock Collision Diagram and click . The following window will appear:

   Note: The Toolkit option available will differ depending on how the accident record was validated. If the record was validated as a Midblock collision, then only the Midblock Collision Diagram option will appear. Conversely, if the record was validated as an Intersection collision, then only the Intersection Collision Diagram option will appear. 3. The Node ID field will reflect the ID corresponding to the intersection selected in the Accident tab and validated in the Verification tab.  

   Note:  This field cannot be edited by the user.

4. From the Date drop-down menu, select Between, Greater Than, Less Than, or Equal. 
5. Select the date or date range from the two fields provided.
6. Click . The collision diagram will be displayed.

   

7. The Intersection Collision Diagram will display all accidents that have occurred in that intersection during the date range specified.  The accidents and injuries will be displayed using the codes and symbols found in the legend.
