At the top of the module window you will see header data. This data remains at the top of your screen as you use the tabs to navigate through the record. The header fields are described in the table below:

This field allows you to enter a unique, alphanumeric identifier for the communication cable. |
From and To Support Structure Number |
These fields allow you to associate your communication cable with existing Support Structures from inventory to designate its beginning and ending points. To access the pick lists, click on the field caption buttons or press F9. |
Name |
Use this field to include a user-defined communication cable name. |
Status |
This user-defined, code-description field allows you to indicate the communication cable's active status. |
Type |
Use this code-description field to identify the type of communication cable in the record (i.e. CATV or SCADA cable). |
Installation Date |
Use this field to record the date on which the cable was installed. |
Note: The Comm Cable Number is required in order to save the record.
