The Attributes tab allows you to document the size, manufacturer, and installation information for the backflow device. When recording device serial numbers, note that they should be unique. You'll receive a warning prompt informing you if the serial number you enter has already been recorded for an existing record. You can also document the location and the service tap number. To associate this backflow preventer with a Service Tap Inventory record, click the Service Tap No button or press F9 with your cursor in the field. You can then select a service tap record from the pick list.
Note: Account number information will be carried over from the selected service tap's inventory record; however, you can modify the Account Number field if needed.
Here, you can select a Location Property ID from the pick list or type an ID into the field provided. If you type a value into this field, the system will check the Customer Address module for an address matching the Property ID. If found, it will then populate the address information into the Backflow Inventory record.
Note: When you access the pick list for this field, you'll notice that the Add, Edit, and Delete buttons are grayed out. This indicates that you cannot add location property IDs to this pick list that do not already exist in the system. This information can only be added through the Customer Address module.
