Calibrated Method Initial & Repaired Tabs

The Calibrated Method Initial Tab and Calibrated Meter Repaired tab fields calculate the total volume displaced during the meter testing and the accuracy of the meter based on the testing results and the meter tester data enter. The Calibrated Method Initial tab is to fill out at the beginning of the test. The Calibrated Method Repaired tab is to be filled out after repairs are made to the meter.

How To

Fill out the form

1. Enter the flow rate (gpm) during the test in the Initial Flow Rate fields.
2. Enter the volume at the start of the test in the Start fields.
3. Enter the volume at the time the test was stopped in the Stop fields.
4. The total Volume is then calculated based on:
   • Volume = Stop - Start
5. Enter the tester data the same way in the Initial Tester Volume fields.
6. In the Tester Accuracy field, enter the value that most represents the testing meter accuracy .
   • Example: if the meter is 100% accurate, enter a 1 in this field. If the meter is running a little bit low, say at 98%, enter a .98 in this field.
7. The meter accuracy fields (Initial and Final testing) are calculated as follows:
   • High Accuracy = Meter Volume / (Tester Volume * Tester Accuracy)
   • Medium and Low Accuracy = Meter Volume / Tester Volume
   • Average = (High + Med + Low) / 3

     Note: If the Total Volume and Meter Accuracy fields are not displaying the calculated values, tab out of or click away from the fields used in the calculation. The values will then be displayed.
