The numbers in the Ratings Column use a ratio of the number in the Remaining Column (for all three fields: Structural, Flow, and Cleaning) and the pipe's length. This column is especially useful because it takes into account that a 1000 foot pipe will have more defects than a 100 foot pipe.
The Ratings values are the ones you want to use to compare the overall condition of the pipes.
Rating |
How the Rating is Obtained by the System |
Structural Number Rating |
The system adds the structural numbers of the TV inspection observations that do not fall within any line repairs divided by the maximum observation footage divided by 100. This allows you to sort the records by density of defects (structural number per foot) instead of total structural number. |
Flow Number Rating |
The system adds the flow numbers of the TV inspection observations that do not fall within any line repairs divided by the maximum observation footage divided by 100. This allows you to sort the records by density of defects (structural number per foot) instead of total structural number. |
Cleaning Number Rating |
The system adds the cleaning numbers of the TV inspection observations that do not fall within any line repairs divided by the maximum observation footage divided by 100. This allows you to sort the records by density of defects (structural number per foot) instead of total structural number. |
