The General tab stores detailed cost and project information. This includes the designer, inspector, and contractor who worked on the project. You can also record the project's index number, a description of the project, the capital improvement project number, council district, and mapping information. Fields are provided to record the design cost, construction cost, and inspection costs. Additionally, a number of user-defined date fields can be found on this tab.
Several fields in this tab have special functions. These are described below:

The Total Cost field sums all of the values from the Design, Construction, and Inspection Cost fields. |
Project Units Project UOM |
The Project Units and Unit of Measure fields allow you to indicate the number of units involved in the project. This value is used in the Unit Cost calculation. |
Project Unit Cost |
The Project Unit Cost field takes the value in the Total Cost field and divides it by the value in the Project Units field; thus giving you the individual unit cost. |
