Backflow Library

Backflow is the undesirable reversal of flow of nonpotable water or other substances into the public water pipe system. A backflow preventer is a device used to avoid such backflow. The basic device used to prevent backflow is a mechanical backflow preventer. These include the reduced-pressure principle assembly, the pressure vacuum break assembly, and the double check valve assembly, among others. The Backflow Library module stores basic manufacturer information about these backflow devices. When you select a unique Library Code in the Backflow Inventory module, the system will automatically fill the library data into the appropriate fields. This library helps standardize your system and speed data entry.
