The Setup Tab allows you to select when you want information posted from your laptop to the server and vice versa. Each field allows you to setup a different posting schedule. For example, you might want all Sewer Inventory data posted daily, but Storm Inventory data only needs to be posted monthly.
To setup each laptop, complete the following steps:
Enter the user's computer name in the Computer Name field.
Note: To find a user's computer name, right click on "My Computer," select "Properties," and click on the "Network Identification" tab. You do not need to include the domain name.
Enter a custom filter name in the Work Filter field. If not using the Work Field module, this field should remain null.
Select when you want the various databases (Permission Post, Sewer Inv Post, etc.) posted (0=Never, 1=Next Synch Only, 2=Daily, 3=Weekly, 4=Monthly). The fields in the right column (Last Perm Post, etc.) are read-only fields that are automatically populated with the date and time of the last posting for a particular field.
This schedule dictates when each inventory database is posted sending new inventory records out to the field.
Work field data is posted automatically on a daily basis.
Inspection records are never sent to the field; however, inspections can be created in the field and then sent back to the office upon synch. All date/time fields in the inspection records are Restricted in Security.exe to ensure that extraneous inspection records are not added to the database upon synch (when a field user edits the inspection date or time and synchronizes back to the office, the system will not update the existing record. Rather, it will insert a new inspection record). Permissions may be granted in Security.exe for users to edit restricted fields.

Check the Auto V and T box if you want the system to automatically validate and transfer your Sewer and Storm Field data. If this box is not checked, you will have to manually validate and transfer your Sewer and Storm Field data.
Note: This box DOES NOT apply to Work Field data. The Work Field data is automatically validated and transferred regardless of whether the box is checked or not.
Note: You can create as many records as you have licenses for in the Mobile program.
