Attributes

The Attributes tab allows you to track general information about the voltage regulator. You can include manufacturer information and the voltage regulator serial number, as well as a number of details about the voltage regulator and its ratings. Several of these fields have special functions. These are described in the table below.

Additionally, this tab contains a Unit Location History grid. This grid allows you to view all Voltage Regulator Locations in which this voltage regulator unit has been installed. Voltage regulator units can be installed in one location and then removed at a later date. The read-only Voltage Regulator Loc Number field above the grid automatically displays the currently associated Voltage Regulator Location record. When a unit is removed from one location and not installed in another, the field will remain blank.

Field Name

Definition

Arrestor Type

Use this field to identify the type of arrestor used. For example, Air Gap, Metal Oxide, etc.

Cooling Type

Use this field to identify the type of cooling agent used. For example, Radiator Forced Air.

PCB Level

This field allows you to indicate the PCB level, if any, in the coolant. Values could include Arachlor, Diachlor, etc.

Animal Guard

Use this field to identify the type of animal guard used on the unit.

Rated KVA

The Rated kVA field identifies the kVA (kilovolt-amperes) at nominal voltage.

HS and LS Rated Volt

Use these fields to indicate the system voltages for which the high side and low side of the unit is rated.

High Side and Low Side BIL

Use these fields to indicate the BIL ratings on the high side and low side of the unit.

Low Side Taps

This field indicates the number of taps available on the low side of the unit.

Max Steps

This field indicates the maximum number of steps available on the unit.

Capacity Avail

Use this field to indicate if the unit has capacity available.

Impedance

This field indicates the impedance of the transformer unit, expressed as a percentage.

Full Load and No Load Losses

Use these fields to identify the full-load and no-load losses of the unit, in watts.
