Available Hot Keys

A number of hot keys are identified in the Status Bar of the Customer tab. These provide users with search functions unique to the Requests module. In general, searching for a previous request is triggered with the F7 hot key. Searching for the customer is triggered with the F8 hot key. Searching for street name list information is triggered with the F9 hot key. Entering default data is triggered with the F5 hot key.

No fields are populated with information. Instead, you will be presented with a list of existing requests that have the same phone number. If you select a request, the module will open that request in edit mode.

Account Number

No fields are populated with information. Instead, you will be presented with a list of existing requests that have the same account number. If you select a request, the module will open that request in edit mode.

Name 1 or Name 2

No fields are populated with information. Instead, you will be presented with a list of existing requests that have the same Name 1 or Name 2. If you select a request, the module will open that request in edit mode.

Parcel Number

No fields are populated with information. Instead, you will be presented with a list of existing requests that have the same parcel number. If you select a request, the module will open that request in edit mode.

Email

Req Address (Street Name field)

No fields are populated with information. Instead, you will be presented with a list of existing requests that have the same street address. If you select a request, the module will open that request in edit mode.

Phone Number

Search for customer contact

If only one matching contact is found with that phone number, all other contact information will be populated (name, home phone, work phone, email, etc.).

If more than one matching contact is found, you will be asked to choose a contact. Choosing a contact will populate his/her information. Not choosing a contact will return you to the module screen.

If the contact is found, it will proceed to search for the address.

Account Number

Search for customer address

If only one matching contact is found with that account number, the address of that account will be populated.

If more than one matching address is found, you will be asked to choose an address. Choosing an address will populate the contact information. Not choosing an address will return you to the module screen.

If the address is found, it will continue to search for the customer contact information.

Name 1 or Name 2

Search for customer address

If only one matching contact is found with the same Name 1 or Name 2, the customer address will be populated.

If more than one matching address is found, you will be asked to choose a address. Choosing an address will populate the contact information. Not choosing an address will return you to the module screen.

If the address is found, it will proceed to search for the customer contact.

Parcel Number

If only one matching contact is found with that parcel number, the address of that account will be populated.

If more than one matching address is found, you will be asked to choose an address. Choosing an address will populate the contact information. Not choosing an address will return you to the module screen.

If the address is found, it will continue to search for the customer contact information.

Email

If only one matching contact is found with the same email address, all other contact information will be populated.

If more than one matching contact is found, you will be asked to choose a contact. Choosing a contact will populate the contact information. Not choosing a contact will return you to the module screen.

If the contact is found, it will proceed to search for the address.

Req Address (Street Name field)

If only one matching contact is found with that street number, the address of that account will be populated.

If more than one matching address is found, you will be asked to choose an address. Choosing an address will populate the contact information. Not choosing an address will return you to the module screen.

If the address is found, it will continue to search for the customer contact information.

Provides you with a pick list to select the proper customer account number.

Home Phone#

Work Phone #

Fill this field with the request phone number

Carries over the value from the initial Phone # field into these 4 additional phone number fields.
