General Tab

The General tab stores detailed cost and project information. This includes the designer, inspector, and contractor who worked on the project. You can also record the project's index number, a description of the project, the capital improvement project number, council district, and mapping information. Fields are provided to record the design cost, construction cost, and inspection costs. Additionally, a number of user-defined date fields can be found on this tab.

Several fields in this tab have special functions. These are described below:

Total Cost

The Total Cost field sums all of the values from the Design, Construction, and Inspection Cost fields.

Project Units

Project UOM

The Project Units and Unit of Measure fields allow you to indicate the number of units involved in the project. This value is used in the Unit Cost calculation.

Project Unit Cost

The Project Unit Cost field takes the value in the Total Cost field and divides it by the value in the Project Units field; thus giving you the individual unit cost.
