Lucity's Parts Inventory modules have a notification feature that is designed to alert warehouse managers of changes to Parts in the Warehouse.
Parts Reorder Notification
This email notification alerts the warehouse manager when it is time to reorder parts (buy additional parts) because the overall quantity of that part has fallen below a threshold.
This notification is triggered when a Part record's Quantity On Hand dips below the Part record's Reorder Point.
The notification provides the following information from the Part record.
Part ID - Identifies the part needing reorder.
Reorder Quantity - The number of parts to be reordered.
On Hand Qty - The current on hand quantity for the part.
Reorder Point - The quantity level that triggered the reorder notification.
Parts Restock Notification
This email notification alerts the warehouse manager when an individual location's quantity falls below the individual location's Reorder Point. This requests that the location be restocked and the requested quantity is calculated using the location's Max Quantity - Current Quantity.
This email is for restocking parts that go below their Reorder Point at warehouse locations. When a location's part quantity dips below the location's Reorder Point, the notification will calculate the number of parts needed to be restocked to meet the location's Maximum Quantity value for the part.
Fields info for resulting notification:
Location: The location that needs restocked
Part: The ID and Description of the Part that needs restocked.
Location Quantity: The current quantity of the part at the location.
Reorder Point: The location's reorder point that triggered the restock notification.
Maximum Quantity: The part's maximum quantity allowed at the location.
Qty Needed to be Re-stocked: A system-calculated value (Maximum Quantity-Reorder Point) of the quantity that needs to be restocked.
Disbursal/Return Notifications
The integration between Lucity's Parts Inventory and Work Order modules includes the ability to notify people (e.g., the Parts Department manager) via email when Parts are disbursed to a Work Order or returned to the Inventory.
This email is sent automatically and just needs to have a configure recipient.
The email will go to the email address listed in the "Email address to send disbursal/return notifications"Work Option, which you'll find in the Admin Portal > Settings > Work Options > Work tab > Parts section.
When a user disburses or returns a Part, the system automatically sends an email to the configured email address.
If there are certain users whose disbursement/return activity should not trigger a Notification (perhaps because they disburse Parts very frequently or the Parts they disburse are very common), enter their Lucity Login IDs, separated by commas, into the "Comma Delim list of UserIDs that should not trigger disp/ret notif"Work Option, which you'll also find in the Admin Portal > Settings > Work Options > Work tab > Parts section.
