Default Extent

When the Lucity Web Map opens, it automatically defaults to a specific extent. This extent is determined using the following logic:

• If the GIS View uses an ArcGIS Webmap, the Lucity Web Map applies the extent of the ArcGIS Webmap.
• If the GIS View does not use an ArcGIS Web Map but the ArcGIS Portal Integration is enabled and the agency has defined a default extent, the Lucity Web Map applies the Portal's default extent.
• If the GIS View does not use an ArcGIS Web Map and the Lucity Web Map cannot determine the agency's default extent for the ArcGIS Portal Integration, it will use the default extent configured in Lucity.
• If none of these conditions are met, it will use an ESRI default extent.

  Note: Clients using the Legacy Lucity Maps must set up a Default extent in the Lucity Adminitration Tool.
