Plugins are software components that are used to display data within Frames. There are several types of standard Plugins built into the software:
Asset Tree plugin
Asset Trees organize assets based on their module and relationship. When a user expands a record in a tree, the plugin displays the child records related to that parent record.
This plugin can be applied to the Parks, Plant, Site, Building, and Equipment inventories and can be based on a filter.
The number in parentheses is a count of associated records.
Click + or - to expand or collapse a level of data.
Click on an Inventory or record name to open the related record(s).
Example: Clicking on Plant Processbrings up a view of all seven plant process records, while clicking on the W7 record displays a view of that record.
Example
All Plant Inventory records are displayed.
Plant 100 has seven related plant process records.
Process 1.1 has one related Raw Water Pump Station record.
Note: The Asset Hierarchy Tree will currently only drill down through 12 tiers. If you have more than 12 tiers of relationships you will get an error message.
Crystal Report plugin
The Reports plugin displays Crystal Reports that have been customized by the system administrator. A report can either be embedded into the dashboard or listed as a link to give the user quick access.
To speed up dashboard load time, the system does NOT run reports every time the dashboard is loaded. Instead, reports are run on an established schedule. (By default, every four hours.)
The Crystal Reports license allows only three reports to run simultaneously. If four users are running reports at the same time, the fourth user may receive a message stating that the maximum number of concurrent licenses has been reached. If this message appears, try running the report again at a later time.
The report can also be displayed as a link. When a user clicks the link, a pop-up containing the report opens.
Example
The report at right is a Summary report. It provides an overview of the number of open Work Orders and how long they have been open. Summary and graph reports are most effective on the Dashboard because they provide a general indication of activity.
Data Drill plugin
The Data Drills plugin filters a module for data, then displays and groups the data based on certain attributes. Data drills can be created against Work Orders, Work Requests, and Asset modules. Each data drill can contain an unlimited number of drill-downs.
Click on any Data Drill or Drill-down name or record name to open a view of the related record(s).
Example: Clicking on any of the Requests opens a view of all 49 Requests in those filters. Clicking on the drilldown such as New Request opens a view of those 5 records.
Example
This example shows a data drill of all open Service Requests for various filters. The records are grouped by the Status and then by the Problem.
The Requests module displays 49 records in the filterset. Clicking on the Status drilldown such as New Request opens a view of those 5 Problem records.
Map plugin
The Map plugin enables you to display a map on the dashboard and view the location of data found within other plugins.
The Quick Lookup plugin provides a lookup field for a specific module on the dashboard. Users can search for records based on the Common ID for the record or another field, and the system will open the related module to that record.
Enables users to search through the records in a module.
Click in the field and press the Space Bar to automatically fill in the last value entered.
Depending on settings the search will search for a record with a matching common ID, records with a common ID that contains the typed in value, or records that match another value in the module's grid.
Example
In the Quick Lookup field, type the Common ID or another value desired assetand click OK.
URL plugin
The URL plugin can be used to add a URL to another website or an SSRS report to the dashboard. This type of plugin can also be used to embed an object into the dashboard.
Displays a webpage embedded into Lucity Web. This allows agencies to embed SSRS reports.
Note: Some websites block the ability to embed them.
Example
A link to http://blog.lucity.com is embedded in the Lucity Help Portal. Click the Lucity Blog text to open that website.
Time Summary plugin
The Time Summary plugin displays the current user's recorded time. The plugin displays today's time, yesterday's time, all time for the current pay period, and all time for the previous pay period. Time displayed is broken up between work order and timesheet entries.
