Frame Organization

In the Lucity Web Dashboard frames are organized based on their order and width. Frames are ordered left to right and top to bottom. As frames are displayed the system checks to make sure that a frame will not extend past the right side of the dashboard. If a frame will extend past the edge of the dashboard it is bumped down to the next row.

Example 1

In this first example you can see each frame labeled with it's order. This dashboard:

• Displays Frame 1
• Displays Frame 2
• Doesn't have enough room to display Frame 3 so it goes to a new line.
• Displays Frame 3
• Displays Frame 4
• Displays Frame 5

Example 2

In this example the original Frame 2 is moved down to the 5th position and is now Frame 5. The other Frames renumbered accordingly. The dashboard:

• Displays Frame 1
• Frame 2
• Doesn't have enough room to display Frame 3 so it goes to a new line.
• Displays Frame 3
• Displays Frame 4
• Doesn't have enough room to display Frame 5 so it goes to a new line.
• Displays Frame 5
