GIS Views let organizations define how they want the Lucity Web Map to appear for a specific set of users.
Editing Pane
When administrators edit GIS View Properties, a editing pane appears to the right of the screen, providing a means to modify the component's properties.
Move Pane
Switches the side of the screen to which the Edit Pane is attached.
Delete
Deletes the selected GIS View.
Save
Saves all changes made to the GIS View properties.
Close
Cancels any edits and closes the Properties screen.
GIS View Properties
Map View Name *
Identifies the GIS View. Must be unique.
Description
Provides a more brief summary of the contents of the GIS View.
Selected Web Map *
Identifies the web map from the ArcGIS Portal to be displayed in this GIS View.
Lucity recommends displaying an ArcGIS Portal web map. This feature requires that administrators activate the Portal for ArcGIS integration.
Selected Lucity Map *
Identifies the legacy Lucity map to be displayed in this GIS View.
Auto-generate popup for layers
Directs the Lucity Web Map to automatically generate a pop-up for any layers that do not have pop-ups assigned in the ArcGIS Portal.
Disabling this option disables the Identify tool for any layers that do not have an assigned pop-up.
Changes take effect next time the GIS View is opened.
Include Option
Directs Lucity to make only the tools selected in the grid below available in the GIS view.
Exclude Option
Directs Lucity to exclude any tools that are not selected in the grid, but to automatically load any new tools when they are released.

In the Web Map, click the button. The Design Mode pop-up appears:
Select Edit Properties. The Edit Pane appears.
Confirm that the Map View Name exists. This value is required and must be unique.
Enter a Description if desired.
Select a Web Map to display.
If you have configured your Portal for ArcGIS Integration, click the Select button under the Selected Web Map field.. The following pop-up appears:
The maps available in the pop-up come from your agency's ArcGIS portal.
This step dictates the default map that the system will display. After loading the Web Map, users can select any Portal map to which they have access.
Choose a map and click Select.
OR
If your agency hasn't configured its Portal for ArcGIS Integration, you can still use the legacy Lucity Map setup. Use the Selected Webmap drop-down to choose a Lucity map.
This step dictates the default map that the system will display. After loading the Web Map, users can select any web map to which they have access.
Indicate whether you want the Web Map to Auto-generate popups for layers.
Select the tools to be displayed in the map.
Select the Include Method if you want to strictly control the tools users may access. Any new tools added to the Web Map will not be automatically available to users.
Uncheck the tools that you do not want to include in the Web Map.
If Lucity develops new tools that the agency wants to include in the view, an administrator must edit the view and omit the tools manually.
OR
Select the Exclude Method if you'd prefer to remove certain existing tools from the GIS view but also allow the system to automatically add any new tools as they are released.
Uncheck the tools that you want to exclude from the Web Map.
If Lucity develops new tools that the agency wants to exclude from the view, an administrator must edit the view and add the tools manually.
Click the Save button. The new Properties are applied to the view.
