The Find tool enables users to identify a location on the map by entering an address or latitude/longitude coordinates. Users can also use the tool to locate Lucity assets by FacilityID by performing an Attribute Query.
Click on the Find tool. The following dialog box appears:
Select the Address button.
If desired use the drop down arrow to select a geolocator other than the default.
Type in the address.
Note: The program will attempt to autofill the street name as the user types.
Press enter or click to search for the entered address. A yellow pushpin appears at the point, and a new layer appears in the Table of Contents called Lucity XY/Address Locations.
Note: To remove a point, remove the Lucity XY/Address Locations layer from the map.
If desired, use the Data Table to perform one of the following actions:
The Attach to PM/Template tool enables users to attach assets and locations to a pre-existing PM.
How To Attach Assets to a PM
Select one or more features or Work Points in the Webmap or from the Data Table.
If needed click in the field next to the Attach to PM tool and enter a PM/Template ID.
Note: If you clicked the Add Asset/XY from Map, or Show Selected in Map (for a single record) options in the Show in Map tool in the Work Order module, then the PM/Template ID is supplied.
Click the Go button next to the tool. The selected features or points are attached to the PM/Template.
Features are added to the Asset grid of the PM/Template.
Work Points are added to the Location grid of the PM/Template.
Attaches the selected assets to an existing PM as a PM Asset.
* Only appears if the user has the necessary permission in the related module.
Longitude values range from -180 to +180 degrees. Even though geographic coordinates are angular units, the system treats them as if they are planar. In this case, longitude values are considered the x-coordinate, while latitude values are the y-coordinate.
Click on the Find tool. The following dialog box appears:
Click the Lat/Long radio button:
Select a degree format.
Enter the appropriate coordinates in the Longitude and Latitude fields.
Click Find. A yellow pushpin appears at the point, and a new layer appears in the Table of Contents called Lucity XY/Address Locations.
Note: To remove a point, remove the Lucity XY/Address Locations layer from the map.
If desired, use the Data Table to perform one of the following actions:

How To Attach Assets to a PM
Select one or more features or Work Points in the Webmap or from the Data Table.
If needed click in the field next to the Attach to PM tool and enter a PM/Template ID.
Note: If you clicked the Add Asset/XY from Map, or Show Selected in Map (for a single record) options in the Show in Map tool in the Work Order module, then the PM/Template ID is supplied.
Click the Go button next to the tool. The selected features or points are attached to the PM/Template.
Features are added to the Asset grid of the PM/Template.
Work Points are added to the Location grid of the PM/Template.
Attaches the selected assets to an existing PM as a PM Asset.

Click on the Find tool. The following dialog box appears:
Select the Attribute option at the top of the screen:
Select a Layer. The options in this drop-down list are based on the Lucity-related feature classes in the map.
Select the Field from the selected Layer on which you would you would like to base your search.
Type in a Value.
Use % as a wildcard to replace a string of characters. (For example, 5%0 would return 50, 500, 56430, 5st0, etc.)
Use _ as a wildcard to replace a single character. (For example, 5_0 would return 500, 5s0, 550, etc.)
Use mathematical operators (<, >, <=, =>)to search for a range of numerical values. (For example, using the Diameter field, entering> 12 as the Value would find all assets with a Diameter greater than 12.)
Click Find. The system uses pushpins to identify the applicable assets in the map.
