Each Lucity security group can access to multiple GIS Views. To control which view is opened by default you need to setup default views.
There are two types of default views.
Global Default
A default view that applies to everybody in the system.
Group Default
A default for a specific group. This overrides the global default. For this to affect a user they must be part of the security group and they must have the security group set as their Default Rules Group in Lucity Security.
How a View is selected
When the webmap launches the system checks the currently logged in user.
The system checks to see if the users' Default Rules group has an assigned Group Default GIS View.
If there is a default view for the group and the user has permission to use the group the map will open the Group default
If not it checks for a Global Default.
If there is a global default and the user is in a group that has access to the view then the system will use the Global Default.
If the user doesn't have a Default GIS View the program will select and display a GIS that the user does have access too.
Note: This group will be used to decide which module views and gis views the user will see by default out of the list of views they have available to them.
In the Lucity Security program select Security > Users/Groups Setup.
In the Users grid select the user you would like to assign a Default Rules Group.
Make sure the user is associated with the desired default rules group. You can see if it is in the bottom left corner in the Associated Groups list.
Click the Edit User(s) button. The following window appears:
Use the Default Rules Group drop-down to choose a group.
Note: This group will be used to decide which module views and gis views the user will see by default out of the list of views they have available to them.
