1. Make sure both the Sewer Structures and Sewer Pipes, or the Storm Structures and Storm Conduits are in the map.
2. Select the tool from the Lucity GIS Analyst toolbar. The cursor converts to crosshairs, and the following pop-up appears:

   

3. Click on the Pipe that should begin the profile. (The profile will be created downstream from the selected Pipe.) The following pop-up appears:

   

4. Select the number of Pipes to include in the profile and click OK. Lucity automatically generates the profile.

1. Click and hold somewhere within the Profile.
2. Drag the mouse to draw a box.
3. Let go of the mouse button. The screen zooms to the selected area.

1. After zooming in, scroll bars appear along the left and the bottom of the screen.
2. To the left of the bottom scroll bar and at the top of the left-hand scroll bar are Zoom Out buttons.

   

3. Click one of these buttons to cancel the zoom for the corresponding axis.

1. Right-click on a Structure, Pipe, or Service in the profile. The following menu appears:

   

2. Choose whether to open the corresponding Inventory record in Lucity Desktop or Web.
3. Select the Inventory asset.
4. Lucity launches and opens the selected record.

The Layers tab lets users control which layers appear in the trace. Users uncheck the box next to a layer to hide it. Although the layer symbology is predefined, the size of the symbology can be changed.

Width/Size - Changes the size of the symbology.

Labels in the profile are predefined and anchored in established locations that cannot be changed. The Labels tab allows users to control which labels appear in the profile by unchecking the box next to a label to hide it.

Angle - Rotate the labels for better fit.

Smart Labels - Directs the program to automatically place the labels to avoid overlapping.

Rim Elevation - The Rim Elevation Number from the Structure record.

Upstream Inverts - The Upstream Invert Number from the Pipe record.

Downstream Inverts - The Downstream Invert Number from the Pipe record.

Structure Info - Diameter, Width, Wall Material, Depth, Component Type, Structure Type

Structure Name - The Network Structure ID for the Structure.

Pipe Info - Dia/Height (in), Material, Length (ft), Slope %

This provides a 3-D view of the profile graph and allows users to control it.

Display Profile in 3-D - Shifts the image to a 3D view, as shown in the example below.

Point depth - Controls how wide each set of data is. A point depth of zero represents the normal 2-D image.

Gap Depth - Determines how much space appears between each data set.

Rotate X/Y - Controls the vertical and horizontal rotation of the 3-D image.

Page Setup - Enables users to change the page settings before printing.

Print Preview - Displays a preview of the print job.

Print - Prints the profile.

Save as Image - Enables users to save the profile as an image file.

Copy Image - Stores the profile image on the clipboard.
