Sign Field Setup

The Sign Library and Sign Inventory modules have a special field that displays a sample picture for the type of sign the record is for. As the sign library is customizable you must setup a location within your Document Hive for the custom sign images to go.

Create a folder that will contain your custom sign images.
- This will typically be called SignLibrary and will be located within your document hive folder.
Check Document Server permissions
- If you placed your SignLibrary folder in your DocumentHive this step will most likely be done as the document server should already have the necessary permissions.
- Check the permissions on your SignLibrary Folder and make sure the Windows user that the Lucity Document Server is running under has Read/Write/Modify permission.
- Check the permissions on the share used to access your SignLibrary folder and make sure the Windows user that the Lucity Document Server is running under has Change/Read access.
Open Lucity Web and click the button to open the Admin Portal.
Go to Settings > System Settings > Documents > Path Where uploaded Sign Library Images are stored.
Enter the UNC path to your SignLibrary folder.

Create the image and save it as a .jpg file.
Name the .jpg file with the name name of the MUTCD Code. (ex. R1-1.jpg)
Place the .jpg file in the SignLibrary folder configured in the previous step.
Open Lucity Web and go to the Street Sign MUTCD Library.
Create or find the sign library record that will use your custom image.
Click in the Picture File field to select an image.
Select an image from the list.
Click OK.
