Standard Module Permissions

Standard permissions available in most modules. The platforms that support each permission type are indicated on the right. If a platform is not listed, it most likely does not support the stated functionality.

Allows users to edit restricted fields. Administrators can define restricted fields in the field properties.

Allows users to view fields that contain sensitive data. This permission only applies to modules that contain secure fields.

Allows users to export parameters for Browse function to a text file (Microsoft Excel or Lotus Notes).

Global Browse

Allows users to make a saved Browse accessible to all users.

Allows users to mass-populate fields within a specific module without having to edit each record individually.

Note: This functionality is available only in certain fields.

Documents - Add

Allows users to add a link between a Lucity record and image/movie/document files. Also allows allows users to upload a copy of a file to the Lucity Document Server and then create a link between the Lucity record and the copied file.

Note: To attach a file in Lucity Web without uploading it a user must also have the Lucity Apps > All > Documents - Add Without Upload permission.

Documents - Delete

Allows users to remove the link between the Lucity record and an image/movie/document file. This does not delete the file.

Documents - Delete File

Allows users to remove the link between the Lucity record and an image/movie/document file. The file is deleted if it was uploaded to the Lucity Document Server.

Popup Lists - Add

Allows users to add new codes to the pop-up lists within a module.

Allows users to change the captions on fields within a module.

Note: This capability applies to all fields, not just pop-up lists.
