Create Request from Map

The Create Request tool lets users create a Request based on a asset or user point graphic in a map .

How To Create a Request

1. Highlight an Asset or User Point Graphic in the Data Table

   Note: User Point Graphics are created using the Create Work Point tool.

2. Click the button. If the highlighted asset does not have a Default Work Category, the following pop-up appears to prompt users to select a Category:

   Note: When using a User Point Graphic, a Category is not required and this pop-up does not appear.

   

   Only Categories associated with the highlighted Asset appear.

3. Select a Category and click OK (required). The system creates a Request with the highlighted Asset attached and displays the following pop-up:

   

4. Click Attach Document to browse for and select a document to attach to the request (if desired).
5. Choose one of the Edit or View options and click OK. The selected Lucity platform opens and displays the new record in the Request module.

   Note: The Edit/View in the Desktop buttons may not appear if Open in Desktop is disabled for your instance of Lucity Web.
