The Summary tab sums up all of the observation information from the TV Observation tab. It also provides a place for reviewers to enter their own ratings and document other work that needs to be done.
User-Entered Fields
Field |
Function |
Overall Condition |
Describes the general condition of the pipe. |
Quick Rating fields |
Allows users to enter their own quick rating codes. |
Pipe Rating fields |
Allows users to enter their own rating codes for various elements of the pipe. |
Collapsed/Blocked |
Indicates whether one of the observations blocked the camera from finishing the inspection. Enter Y for yes or N for no. |
Automatically Calculated Fields
Field |
Function |
Max Obs # |
Provides a count of the number of observation records entered for the pipe. |
Max Obs Len (ft) |
Displays the maximum amount of pipe footage recorded in the observation. |
Quantitative Ratings
The quantitative ratings are based on a ratings/code matrix in the Lucity Inspection Setup module. The selected defect and ratings (from the TV Inspection observation record) help determine the overall condition of the pipe.
The quantitative ratings are broken down into three sets of numerical ratings: Structural, Flow, and Cleaning. Each set of numerical ratings is divided into three columns: Total, Remaining, and Rating.
Total Fields |
Function |
These fields sum together all of the different defect ratings from the inspection. |
|
Structural: Total |
The sum of all the structural defects in the inspection, as derived from the matrix in the Inspection Setup module. |
Flow: Total |
The sum of all the I/I (infiltration/inflow) defects in the inspection. |
Cleaning: Total |
The sum of all the cleaning defects (e.g. grease, debris) in the inspection. |
Remember: These numbers are not percentages; therefore, the totals may be over 100, or even over 1000, depending on the pipe's defects. (The worse the defects are, the higher the numbers will be.)
Remaining Fields |
Function |
The numbers in the Remaining column (for all three fields: Structural, Flow, and Cleaning) are based on the rehabilitation entered in the Observation record (in the Observations tab). These rehab results will alter the overall condition of the pipe (usually improving it). |
|
Structural: Remaining |
The sum of the structural numbers of the TV inspection observations that do not fall within any line repairs. |
Flow: Remaining |
The sum of the flow numbers of the TV inspection observations that do not fall within any line repairs. |
Cleaning: Remaining |
The sum of the cleaning numbers of the TV inspection observations that do not fall within any line repairs. |
Ratings Fields |
Function |
These fields provide the ratings per foot based on the length of the pipe. This information is useful because a 1000 foot pipe might have more defects than a 100 foot pipe, but those defects are spread out over 1000 feet, rather than 100. |
|
Structural: Rating |
The structural rating per foot. Calculated as: (Structural: Remaining / Max Obs Len) / 100. |
Flow: Rating |
The flow rating per foot. Calculated as: (Flow: Remaining / Max Obs Len) / 100. |
Cleaning: Rating |
The cleaning rating per foot. Calculated as: (Cleaning: Remaining / Max Obs Len) / 100. |
Note: The ratings values are the ones that should be compared to the overall condition of the pipes.
Additional Work Needed Grid
A sample of the grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings. An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) indicates whether data appear in ascending or descending order.
