Each part record has a reorder point and each part record at a warehouse location has a reorder point. The nightly PM service runs a check on all parts and part locations to see if each part's Quantity on Hand, or quantity at a given location falls below the associated Reorder Point. An email is sent out automatically with a list of parts that need to be reordered.
How to Send Notifications
Go to the Inventory > Parts module.
Make sure each record has a Reorder Point on the Order Info tab.
Click on the Inventory tab and make sure that each record in the grid also has a Reorder Point.
Go to the Inventory > Warehouse module.
For each record identify who should receive reorder notifications by entering their email address into the Email field.
