Material Cat Tab

The Material Cat tab stores a list of a Work Categories associated with the part's related Work Flow Setup > Materials record. This list is shared with the Categories tab for the related Material. Therefore, changes in this grid affect both the Part and the Material records.

Note: This tab is not active unless the Material Code is completed on the Order Info tab.

A sample of the Material Cat grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings.  An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) indicates whether data appear in ascending or descending order.

• Double-click on an existing record to open it.
• Right-click in the grid to add a record.
• Right-click on an existing record for options to View Record, Add Record, Edit Record, or Delete Record.

How To Add a Category

1. Right-click in the grid and select Add Record. The following pop-up appears:

3. Select a Category. Click on the field name or press F9 within the field for a list of work categories.
4. Save and close the record. The work Category is now associated with the Part and the Material.
