Water Backflow Notifications

The Water Backflow Preventer module has a notification feature that provides a way to quickly send emails to the parties responsible for a Backflow Preventer. These emails could be used to send out reminders that tests need to be performed, or that testing results are overdue.

How to Send Notifications

  1. Create an email template in the General > Notification Setup (Notification Setup, http://help.lucity.com/webhelp/v165/desktop/index.htm#22846.htm) module.

    Note: The notification template must have these values

  2. After creating the notification template go to the Water > Backflow Preventer > Backflow Inventory module.
  3. Find a backflow preventer or setup a filter of records you want the emails to go out to.
  4. On the Mailing Info Tab make sure the Mailing eMail field is filled out with the contact's email address. Click to view image.
  5. Select the button on the Toolbar and this screen will pop-up

    1. Send Email Notification for Current Record (Will send it to the contact for the record currently being viewed)
    2. Send Email Notification for Filterset (Will send it to all the contacts of the current filterset)
  6. Click and the following screen will appear.

  7. Click the Email Notif # button and select the notification to be sent out

    Note: Only Notification Templates that have the Notification Module set to "Water Backflow Prevention" will show in this list.

  8. Click Button OK and the Notification will be sent.

Note: A record that a notice was sent is stored on the Tracking tab.
