Line Items Tab
The Line Items tab contains two grids that track the PO's line items. The first grid tracks the PO line items. The second grid tracks details about those line items and links the line item to a project.
Samples of the grids appear below. Sort records in a grid by clicking on the headings. An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) will appear signifying ascending or descending order.
Line Items grid
Right-click in the grid to Add Record or Add Simple PO Details . Right-click on an existing record to get a menu with options to View Record , Add Record , Edit Record , or Delete Record . Double-click on an existing record to open it
Right click in the Line Items grid . Select Add Record , the following dialog will appear:
Enter the PO Item Number . This is required to save. Enter the Quantity , Unit of Measurement , and Unit Price The Total Price will calculate. The Est Quantity and Est Total Price are automatically filled out from the Contract Estimate record the PO was created from. Save and Close the record.
Right click in the grid and select Add Simple PO Details . A popup with a list of Projects will appear. Select a project to link to this PO and click Select .A duplicate line item will be created, and it will have a line item detail in the Line Item Details grid linked to the selected project.
Line Items Details grid
Right-click in the grid to add a record Right-click on an existing record to get a menu with options to View Record , Add Record , Edit Record , or Delete Record . Double-click on an existing record to open it
Select a record in the Line Items grid . Right click in the Line Items Details grid . Select Add Record , the following dialog will appear:
Enter the Line Number Click on the Project ID button and select the Project that will fund this PO. This links the PO and its Contract to the Project. Enter the Percentage of the cost of this line item that the selected project will fund. The Value will calculate Save and Close the record.
POs are linked to the Project through the Line Item Detail record.
Right-click on a record in the Line Items Details grid . Select Edit Record , the following dialog will appear:
Click on the Project ID button and select the Project that will fund this PO. This links the PO and its Contract to the Project. Enter the Percentage of the cost of this line item that the selected project will fund. The Value will calculate Save and Close the record.
