Asset Hierarchy Trees (or, Asset Trees) group assets based on their source module and relationship. This type of Plug-in can be applied to the Plants, Site, Building, and Equipment inventories, and it is often based on a filter.
Asset Trees display a list of records for the selected module. When a user expands a record in a tree, the system displays the children records related to that record. Clicking on any level of the tree opens the related module to the set of selected records.

Asset Tree Options
Selected Module
Identifies the module in which the tree will start.
Filter
Displays the filter currently being used for the Asset Tree.
Acquire
Launches the filter dialog, which is used either to create a new filter or to load a previously saved filter.
Select Display Options
Controls what is shown at each level of the Asset Tree: the asset Code, the asset Description, or both.
Open the Dashboard and the Dashboard Tab that you would like to edit.
Click the Enter Design Mode button.
Locate the Frame to whichyou would like to add a Plug-in.
Click the Add Plugin button at the bottom of the Frame. The following pop-up appears:
Select Create a New Plugin. The tool expands to display Plug-in options.
Select the Asset Hierarchy Tree option.
Click Create Plugin. A new Plug-in is added to the Frame and the Asset Tree Edit menu appears on the right.
In the Selected Module field, select the module at which to start the tree.
The Asset Tree can begin at either the Plant Inventory, Site Inventory, Building Inventory, or Equipment Inventory level.
To customize and limit the record set displayed at the primary level (Site, Building, Equipment, or Plant), use the Acquire button to change the filter.
Users can either create a new filter or use a previously saved filter.
Using the Select Display Option, choose how the assets should be displayed in the tree. The system can show the asset's Code, the Text Description, or both.
