Information Once Selected

Once the pavement rehab technique is selected in the header, the system will automatically fill many of these fields with data from the corresponding Rehab Techniques record.  These fields will then be used to update settings throughout the Pavement modules. These fields and their functions are described in the table below.

Field Name

Function

Rehabilitation Cost

In this field enter the per area costs for rehabilitation when using this rehab technique. This field will also be calculated by the Rehabilitation Cost field found on the Rehab Cost Details and Custom tab.

The values in these fields will be used in the model runs for budget forecasting.

Patching Cost

The this field users can enter the per area cost for patching when using this rehab technique. This field is based on the estimates in the latest Field Inspection module. The value in this field is used during the model runs.

Reset PCI Value

After rehabilitation is complete using this technique, the street PCI will be reset to the value in this field.  For further information on PCI, see the Field Inspections help guide.

Restoration Points

This is the number of PCI points that a selected supersegment's PCI will be raised if this rehab method is selected. This is not a required field but will override the Reset PCI Value if one exists.

Minimum Life

This field allows you to establish a minimum life for this rehab technique. If entered, the minimum life field will update the model so that once a rehabilitation activity is selected, the supersegment cannot be selected again until after the specified number of years has been completed.

Rehab Group

You can enter a numerical value in this field to track the rehabilitation group. A rehab group can be set for similar rehab techniques.

Note: If you want to use the Rehab Group for a model run (or in the Budget module), this group number must be included in the Rehab per Pavement/Classification module.

Curb Replace

Sidewalk Replace

Driveway Replace

These fields are used to indicate whether the curbs, sidewalks, and driveways are to be partially replaced, fully replaced, or not replaced when using this rehab technique.  The data in these fields will be used in the model runs. You have three options when entering data in these fields:

  • No Replacement - No miscellaneous cost for this rehabilitation type will be used.
  • Replace Est Only - The miscellaneous cost for this rehabilitation type will equal the supersegment Replacement Est * Misc Cost for the feature.
  • Total Replacement - The miscellaneous cost for this rehabilitation type will equal the total length * Misc Cost for the feature.

Pavement Type

This field allows you to change the pavement type associated with a supersegment once rehabilitation is complete. For example, this would allow a concrete street to be changed to a composite street, etc. The system will automatically assume the same pavement type as indicated in the Header unless you note otherwise in this field.

Reset Load Factor

Reset Non-Load Factor

Reset Environmental Factor

Reset Structural Factor

Reset Roughness Factor

These fields can be used to reset the various factors once rehabilitation is complete.  The factors will be reset to the values included in these fields.  For further information on factors, see the Field Inspections help guide.

Note: These fields are only helpful if you are using Factors to determine maintenance activities.

Note: These fields can be edited by the user.
