Toolkit

1. Create a .txt file into which to import the data. Name and save the file.
2. Click the button to access the Toolkit.  The following window appears:

   

3. Select Export Model Segment and click Execute. The following window appears:

   

4. Select the model run results you wish to export from the Available Model Runs grid.
5. In the Select Export Path box, click the button and select the blank file created in Step 1.

   Note: The file extension (.txt) must be included.

6. Click OK. The data is exported into the selected file.

   Note: The system may take a few minutes to execute these functions.

4. Select the model run results you wish to export from the Available Model Runs grid.
5. In the Select Export Path box, click the button and select the blank file created in Step 1.

6. Click OK. The data is then exported into the chosen file.

   Note: It may take the system a few minutes to execute these functions.

2. Select the Load Model Subsegments option and click Execute. The following window appears:

   

3. Select the model run that you wish to load subsegments for and click Select. The process runs and then loads the results.

2. Highlight the Run Model option and click Execute. The following window appears:

   

3. Select the model or models you wish to run from the Available Model Runs grid. (The system can run multiple models at the same time.)
4. Choose a filter from the Available Filters grid to help limit the modeling results. (These filters are defined in the Supersegments module.) The selection is displayed in the Selected Filter String box, and the model will run against the records in the filtered set.  

   Note:  To remove a model run or filter from the selection, click on the header at the top of the appropriate grid or click again on the highlighted record.  

5. Enter the date and time for the system to begin the recalculations and model runs.  To begin immediately, press the space bar while the cursor is in the Date field.

   Note: To successfully run the model overnight, the computer on which the model run was initiated must remain turned on and logged into Lucity overnight.

6. Click OK to begin the model run. The following prompt will appear:

   

7. Indicate whether or not the model run should update the Supersegment Current Ratings. This step is beneficial if these ratings have not been updated for a while. Note, however, that the update can be time-consuming.
   1. If Yes, each Supersegment in the system is re-evaluated with all of the gathered Subsegment, Segment, and Field Inspection information so that the current condition of the Supersegment can be updated. This ensures that the model uses the best possible data for its model runs; however, if the Current Ratings have been recently updated and no new data has been entered, the user may skip this process.
8. After selecting Yes or No, the system performs the model run. (It may take few minutes to complete this function.)
9. A pop-up window shows the status of the model run, with the most recent activity appearing at the top of the list. When the process is complete, the notation "End of Model Run" is displayed at the top of the list.
